Care Guides

Care of your plug plants

When you receive your plug plants, we highly recommend that you remove all packaging that the plug plants may be in and pot them up into 9cm pots, using a high quality Peat free compost. It is worth noting that plug plants may need a week or so to recover from being potted up and my appear not to grow during this time.

During the colder months it is best to store them in a frost-free place, ie a greenhouse, until the risk of frost has passed, doing so will give the plants the best possible start. It is worth remembering that on warm sunny days, young plants may be damaged if left in direct sun or in warm greenhouses/polytunnels.

For specific details on soil, light, height and spread of each individual variety, see the relevant product page for more information.
